As a dental hygienist, I am most passionate about patient education. I find oral health fascinating and I am eager to answer any questions you may have.

I grew up in Orlando, Florida and moved to North Carolina in 2010. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (Concentration in Creative Writing) from Florida State University and an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in Dental Hygiene from Wake Technical Community College.

My wife and I enjoy visiting family and spending time with our three miniature dachshunds: Quincy, Miles, and Lucy. We also have a number of fish, a turtle, and a leopard gecko.

Outside of work, I am most passionate about music. I am a singer/songwriter and the winner of Wake Tech Idol 2017! You may see me perform sometime at your local open mic night.

My name is Zoje (pronounced like Zoe). My family is Albanian and I grew up in Kosovo. I came to the US with my husband after my first son was born. We raised our family in upstate NY where I worked in a dental office for 18 years. I recently relocated to NC to be with my sons. I am excited to be apart of Dr. Garcia’s team and work with him as his dental assistant. I look forward to meeting you and helping in any way that I can!

“You have a southern name,” is often what I am told.  Or “Is there a song by that name?”  Yes, both are true.  Although I enjoy living in the South, I was born in Trinidad (an island in the Caribbean).  As for my name, I was named after my mother, Barbara.

I have a BA in Chemistry and an AAS in Dental Hygiene.  I graduated from hygiene school in 2007 and have been a clinician since then.

I love the simple things in life: family, friends, laughter or a quiet day at home.  I have been married for 14 years to my husband, Andre and we have a fun-loving 9 year old son, named Gabriel.
